Common Rail is the most popular fuel injection system in modern diesel passenger vehicles. Unfortunately, injectors are the fastest-wearing part of the system, and replacing them can cost thousands. Fortunately, they can be reconditioned – and properly performed reconditioning fully restores the injector’s original performance. Depending on the extent of wear or damage, reconditioning costs range from £40 to £160.

We are one of the few workshops in Poland that assigns new codes to Siemens VDO, Continental, Bosch, and Denso Common Rail injectors.

Reconditioning requires assigning a new IMA code (Injektor Mengen Abgleich – Injector Quantity Adjustment). Neglecting this step can cause serious engine damage and exhaust system failures. At VAG-Expert, we correctly code injectors with individual IMA codes.

We also revitalise piezo stacks in Siemens VDO Continental injectors by eliminating short circuits between the piezo layers. We use a Carbon Zapp CRU2R machine, which operates with a current signal of the correct profile, to complete this process effectively.

We recondition all types of Common Rail injectors from BOSCH, DELPHI, DENSO, and SIEMENS/CONTINENTAL, both piezoelectric and solenoid (including two-coil types), for passenger cars and trucks. Our workshop is equipped with modern diagnostic devices, including the Carbon Zapp CRU2R Diesel and Petrol Injector Tester, authorised by VDO for testing Siemens VDO Continental injectors with energy control.

Our injector reconditioning follows strict standards:

1. Disassembly: Carefully dismantling the injector.
2. Testing: Using the Carbon Zapp CRU2R tester to diagnose performance.
3. Quotation and Customer Contact: Preparing a detailed cost estimate and contacting the customer for approval.
4. External and Internal Cleaning:
   • Ultrasonic external cleaning with cavitation protection.
   • High-pressure internal cleaning with chemical detergents.
5. Seal Replacement: Complete replacement of all seals.
6. Replacement of Worn Parts: Substituting damaged or worn components.
7. Reassembly: Precise reassembly of all parts.
8. Adjustment of Settings: Fine-tuning injector dimensions.
9. Injection Quantity Adjustment: Setting proper injection rates.
10. Final Testing: Ensuring the injector meets factory specifications.
